Glow+ Chocolate Brownies

You’ve probably added Pura Collagen to your smoothies, stirred it into your morning coffee, or sprinkled it over porridge - but here’s something you might not know: you can bake with it too.

Our collagen blends can withstand heat of up to 400°C, so they’re perfect for adding into all kinds of recipes, sweet or savoury. It’s just another way Pura Collagen can seamlessly fit into your daily routine.

Let's delve into one of our favourite recipes here at Pura HQ...Glow+ Chocolate Brownies.

 

Makes: 8 brownies

 

Ingredients:

- 4 scoops Pura Collagen (we used Glow+, but Flex+ works just as well)

- 1 can (drained) aduki or black beans (235g)

- ¼ cup cocoa powder (30g)

- 1 large egg

- ½ cup ground almonds (65g)

- 2 tbsp coconut sugar (21g)

- ¼ cup maple syrup (70g)

- ¼ cup almond butter (60g)

- 2 tbsp (30ml) almond milk

 

Method:

1. Blend all ingredients in a food processor or with a handheld blender until smooth.

2. Pour the batter into a shallow rectangular cake tin.

3. Bake at 175°C for about 35 minutes, or until a knife comes out clean.

4. Enjoy warm or cooled - on their own, with a scoop of vanilla protein ice cream, or drizzled with dark chocolate sauce.
