Rob Knowles, Operations Director and Co-Founder
“While studying music production at the University of Salford in the UK, I really got into powerlifting in the gym. This led to gaining qualifications in nutrition and personal training. Plus becoming the moderator for an online body building community discussing fitness regimes and products.
After graduating, a chance encounter at a trade fair with my favourite L.A.-based protein supplement company led to my becoming their first European employee. I was in charge of logistics, operations, import/export, eventually becoming European Sales Manager. When Jennifer joined the team in 2016, we bonded over our enthusiasm for sports nutrition and accessible science.
Having injured my spine in a power-lifting competition, I was keen to find a supplement to help my flexibility and joint health. When I started taking collagen, I was blown away by the results. In 2020, Jennifer and I founded Pura Collagen.”
